“The staff is very welcoming and I was nervous about starting but since being here I’ve seen change for myself and my children and I’m very appreciative of the stuff I have learned to help me grow as a mother.”
Our Program Can Help
The Family Program assists parents of children under the age of six to find the help they need to address parenting challenges. We will help parents assess their family situation as well as provide education, intervention, support and the opportunity for parents to practice their newly-developed skills. This program is available to Surrey residents at no cost through a referral from a local Ministry of Children and Family Development.
Supporting Change
The Family Program is designed to help parents of young children develop a nurturing, safe, and positive environment for their children. Our team provides education on basic parenting skills, principles of child development and effective discipline. The Family Program promotes healthy parent-child relationship building and communication. With staff support and guidance, we can help parents learn and practice new skills to transform their family life. Since each family situation is different we encourage families to develop the strengths and resources needed to face their unique challenges.
